Background extension
Zetland is a Cavling-nominated digital publisher of Singles, a new digital format for journalism.
The assignment said to re-develop existing Zetland ePub-covers into a new brochure.
I came up with the idea to have the covers expand beyond the otherwise confined space of the eBook-cover, signaling that this brochure expanded the eBook universe, revealing more of the singles.
The effect is obtained mainly through the use of the Clone Stamp tool and some cut-n-paste, along with minor free-hand drawings.
